Poon Hill Trek Difficulty

Poon Hill trek is one of the easier treks in the Annapurna region. The maximum altitude you will reach in this trek is merely 3210 meters in Poon Hilltop.

We have made an itinerary for 4 Days Ghorepani poon hill trek for short holiday trekkers in Nepal for Annapurna including Kathmandu/Pokhara. But to be Fact the total length of the trip is merely 7 days with 2 days of travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara and back. So you will trek for just 5 days.

The average hiking time per day is close to 5 hours. The only part when the trek might feel difficult is when you take a climb up the 3500 stairs in Ulleri. There are a few other uphills and downhills during this trek but they are not too difficult.

So you can complete this trek even without a lot of preparation. However, moderate exercising for a few weeks prior to coming here will make this trek a lot easier than without exercising.

Autumn is the best season to trek to Poon Hill. As the rainy season will have just ended and the weather remains moderate in autumn. The views of the Himalayas are so clear.

We visited Nepal in late September 2018 arriving in Kathmandu. From their Nepal Tours arranged the Poon Hill Trek 4 days for us via email and Mr Kulendra was very helpful and attentive in tailoring the trek to suit our needs at a very reasonable cost. He even attended to us prior to the trek to discuss it in person at our hotel
