🌄 Morning Escape to Chandragiri Hills

Start your day with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to the base of Chandragiri. From there, a thrilling cable car ride carries you up to the hilltop, offering panoramic views of the lush valley below and, on clear days, the majestic Himalayan range—including peaks like Ganesh Himal and even glimpses of Everest.

At the summit, you’ll find the revered Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, a sacred Hindu site associated with legends of Lord Shiva and the unification of Nepal by King Prithvi Narayan Shah. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with cool mountain air, makes it a perfect spot for reflection and photography.

Visitors can also enjoy short nature walks, local cuisine at hilltop restaurants, and quiet moments surrounded by forests and misty landscapes.

🕍 Afternoon at Swayambhunath Stupa(Monkey Temple)

After descending from Chandragiri, return to the city and head toward one of Kathmandu’s most iconic landmarks—Swayambhunath, often called the “Monkey Temple.”

Perched atop a hill west of the city, this ancient stupa is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal, deeply revered by both Buddhists and Hindus. The climb up its 365 stone steps is a journey in itself, lined with prayer flags, shrines, and playful monkeys.

At the top, the white dome and golden spire of the stupa—adorned with the all-seeing eyes of Buddha—offer not only spiritual ambiance but also stunning views over Kathmandu Valley. The surrounding complex includes monasteries, statues, and prayer wheels that echo with centuries of devotion.
