Kathmandu to Tibet Lhasa Tour covers all the three world heritage sites like The Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor street. You can visit the Dalai lama’s summer palace and stroll in the old alleys of Barkhor street where you can enjoy the sweet tea and chat with locals or bargain with the street vendors to understand the real life in Lhasa. Besides, Never miss the chance to explore the dramatic Monks debate on the Buddhist doctrines in the Sera monastery.

We at Nepal Tours offer two kinds of tour types – private and small group tours to Tibet. Anyone of them are all-inclusive package tours except that you have to share the tour guide and vehicle in a group trip to Lhasa. For further information, please feel free to contact us, we will tailor the trip to your needs and interests.

Important Notes: This Kathmandu to Tibet Lhasa Tour has been updated from an overland border crossing into Nepal, to include a flight from Kathmandu – Lhasa – Kathmandu to end the tour. Damage to the Tibet-Nepal highway due to the 2015 earthquake has left roads closed, meaning a flight is currently the only way to travel between the two countries. It is unknown when the highway will reopen and no overland travel will be possible between these two destinations for the foreseeable future.

Nepal Tours assisted us with a 8 days Kathmandu to Tibet Lhasa Tour. Kulendra did a good job by ensuring we get the permits on time and he e-mail us twice during the trip to understand whether are we feeling ok with the climate there. It was an amazing trip. The English speaking guide Norbu was able to explain the history and culture of the sites visited. Food and accommodation was also properly organised. Will recommend anyone to book a tour with Kulendra from Nepal Tours!
