Saribung Peak is newly explored peak climbing in Nepal. It is challenging and very popular trekking trail with beaten track and difficult pass.

Sarebung Peak that lies at the elevation of 6328m. The 23 days Saribung trek itself passes through in the ancient and medieval village of Lo Manthang. Crossing through the ancient kingdom of Mustang and the mysterious Naar and Phu. Taking us through the remote lands, glacier walks and high passes which makes this trip an adventure of a lifetime.

During the Saribung Peak Climbing passes through the lost hidden valleys of Mustang and Nar Phu valley. Both unbelievable landscape and outstanding views of the the Himalayan region. After crossing the Teri-la pass you enter the Nar-Phu valley with wild landscapes and there is very low traffic of trekkers.

Best Seasons for Saribung Peak Climbing

The month of September, October, November (Autumn) and March, April, May (Spring) are the best time for Saribung Peak Expedition. These months have the most stable weather conditions and lesser chances of dense fog with poor visibility.

The mountain weather is quite unpredictable as it fluctuates every hour. But, in Spring and Autumn, you will find quite moderate temperatures with the calm weather conditions.

Saribung Peak Climbing Permit

Saribung peak climbing permit issued by Tourism Department of Nepal, Special permit of Upper Mustang ( free) and Special permit of Nar Phu (free) issued by Department of Immigration, Annapurna Conservation Area Permit fee (ACAP fee ) and TIMS card is required to trek and climb on this region.

The Saribung peak climbing is a relatively easy one for experienced mountaineers. But it is physically demanding with the crossing of high passes like Saribung La at over 5600 m and Kang La at over 5200 meter are challenging.

Saribung Peak Difficulty‎

Saribung is an easy peak for mountaineering and expedition but there are certain passes with ice and creases in between the trail which makes the journey difficult. To join the Saribung Peak and Upper Mustang expedition and have a good chance of success, you need: A clean bill of health, Experience of previous expeditions above 5,500m, Scrambling experience to Grade 2, Scottish grade I/Alpine F mountaineering experience.
